Abunai

September 2nd, 2010

Before my summer was over I went to Abunai (that is an anime/manga and Japanese popculture convention) together with Roy. It was a cold and windy day the Friday we got there. We both had our Ancafe cosplay on (only without the caps and the wigs). There were some troubles with the gophers while we wanted to go to our room… They didn’t want us to enter our rooms, they were afraid that we would go to the convention (it was all in the same hotel). Blablabla. xD

We checked in on the con later that day after sitting in our rooms while chatting with Kim and Jody (our friends) who were in the room next to us.

Only a few recognized us as Miku and Bou. Not many anime/manga fans are into jrock or Ancafe. I don’t think it’s a big deal; I had fun cosplaying as Ancafe. ;)

The day after that we went to have breakfast in the hotel with our friends Ilona and Sabine. While Roy and I had trouble with waking up we managed to be there on time. (My wig was being a bitch, I bet she didn’t liked me. xD) Roy and I went that day as Kazehaya Shota and Kuronuma Sawako. Ilona and Sabine needed some more time with their cosplays so we went to their room after waiting in front of the lunchroom. Once they were done we went to have breakfast. I wasn’t really happy with the food; it just tasted bad, not everything though, just most of it. I did get a paper rose from some random guy… like wtf? XD

One thing I just love about cosplaying are those who aren’t familiar with it and are just staring at you. Oh I just enjoy that. xD Oh well, that’s is what you get when you go shopping for things in a small shopping centre. xD

That same day people made photos of us at the convention, I was a bit camera shy in front of the people but Roy managed to let me relax a bit more, he’s always being so helpful. xD We also made some pictures of our cosplay as well. We only had some trouble with the camera positions. xD Most of them are on my facebook. (Click here)
We went to watch the parapara workshops and many people were interested in it. It’s fun to see all those people dancing. xD I  want to learn the parapara but there’s no need to hurry. While walking around at the con we did many things, not only chatting with our friends but also playing games…and I suck at playing games but I love to do it. xD (I did kick Roy’s ass with a beat-em-up :D )

The food of the con itself wasn’t that great too, yet it was better than the hotel food. I’m still amazed by that fact… (Fun Fact, I don’t really like to eat bread… I’m quite picky with bread unless I’m a guest somewhere)

We walked around quite a lot, even went to the dealerroom, it was big and that was a good thing. I didn’t really buy stuff in the dealerroom… We ended up with volume 4 & 5 of Kimi Ni Todoke, a plushie (we called it Sushi) and some hairclips.

There wasn’t much to do on Sunday so we made some more photos of our An cafe cosplay and of course, we checked out the parapara again. We also went to chat with our friends again. Said goodbye, packed our bags and made a 3-4 hour train ride home.

Half year passed by

July 26th, 2010

Half a year has passed by and we’re still having the time of our lives.

We went to visit the places where we hung out together in the past, our special and joyfully memories. We also went to celebrate our half year with going out to dinner. The restaurant was called El Ternero. The place was so lovely, there was even a guy singing and playing on his guitar. The food was good too (Especially the dessert lol! XD) and the people sure were nice. I wish I could eat there again. I was really satisfied. I uploaded some photos on my flickr account, be sure to check them out.

I had to work on the official day of our half year together. T_T I couldn’t get a day off but I’m happy about it that we already celebrated our half year. Work was done at 5.30PM for me so we went to eat at the KFC. We took a friend with us because she needed some distraction from all her problems. After dinner we went to see Shrek in 3D. I really love to watch Schrek because it’s funny. The movie was so good that I actually wouldn’t mind to watch it again. xD Our friend went home after the movie and so did we. Heading for the next celebration!

In my last post “New layout + upcoming fansite” I wrote that I made plans for a Kimi ni todoke fansite. I simply love the series so much that I put truth to those words. Some of you already visited the site through my linking on twitter. It has been online for a little while now but I kind of forgot to post it here too, so be sure to visit my new site by clicking here of to check my network page.

Next to that my newest cosplay costumes arrived in the mail, me and my boyfriend have been planning a sawako + kazehaya cosplay for a while now so now all is ready(except from my boyfriends stupid wig ) I’ll try it on tomorrow and if its any decent I will get the pictures up to my flickr and DA.

Wonderful weekend~

I really had a wonderful weekend! :D

Last Friday I went shopping in Utrecht together with my boyfriend. I really had a great day and the weather was lovely too. In the evening we had a wedding of a colleague of my boyfriend’s, didn’t dance enough tho.

On saturday we went to the gravenbol, a place where we could swim. We were with the four of us; Suzanne Jurien, Roy and me. It was quiet but we enjoyed the weather and water. Also went for a drink in town where there was some event with people playing vikings and all, oh silly peoples! And not so long after dinner we went to a birthday. The kids were amazing and adorable (I can still jumprope). We stayed about 2 to 3 hours (then the children drove us mad;)  ). In the evening, Roy and I went back home and we watched the movie Mamma Mia. Wich was much better than I thought, though the end sucked a bit.

Sunday we went to the gravenbol again with the four of us. In the evening we had a barbecue and Roy and I went home after dinner. Showed of my glamorous sunburns and then watched one episode of Kimi Ni Todoke before we went to bed.

Tell me guys, how was your weekend? ;)

Hypocrits

June 21st, 2010

Was that not a bit too hypocritical? I always get that question in my mind when people tell me, or talk behind my back about things I do wrong while they are actually make the same “mistake”.

Hypocritical people, what can we do about it? Almost nothing, besides breaking up the contact because those kind of people won’t ever listen. I can be like that too, saying things wich i later change my mind about. It just depends on what goes on in my head. But I do let people know that I might change my opinion on things later on.

I love to tease people who are very hypocritical so when someone complains about me being to lovey with my boyfriend and then goes on to be all lovey with their mate, I will take my revenge by giving my boyfriend even more love hugs and kisses.

But that is just a small sample of hypocracy,  so what is your biggest hypocritic annoyance?

Unexpected

I never knew this would happen but we’re going to cosplay 2 characters from Kimi Ni Todoke. Roy goes as Kazehaya Shota and I as Kuronuma Sawako. I had thoughts about if before, but never planned it out. We’re not going for black hair but more for dark brown. If you google about the serie you sometimes see that they have brown hair, we prefer that colour.

We ordered the costumes and now we only have to wait until we recieve them.

Network & Hosting

May 27th, 2010

This week I’ve been working on two pages for my site: Network and Hosting. I want to share my little network with you all. Right now I only added an an cafe fansite on the network page but I plan to add more websites in the future.

Also, it was my dream in the past to offer free hosting on my website. I used to search for a good host for myself in the past when I didn’t have a domain for myself.  So if any of you guys know somebody who needs a host or if you want to be hosted, check the page out. ^_^ You can find it on the network page.

Cosplay plans

May 19th, 2010

A few of you might already know this, but I’m having plans to cosplay a few characters in the future together with my boyfriend and friends. I actually can’t wait to start cosplaying them.

# An cafe Cosplay
I love this band a lot. I’ve known them about 4 years by now and I never stopped following them. I cosplayed Bou a few years ago but it didn’t really turn out so good, people thought I was Misa from death note =_=; Anyway, I plan to cosplay  Bou again this year (or next year), Roy (my boyfriend) is going to cosplay Miku. We already decided which outfit we’re going to wear; you can see it down below. I hope my cosplay as Bou will be better this year. I actually can’t wait to cosplay together with my boyfriend as An cafe :D

# Prince of Tennis Cosplay
We planned to cosplay a few characters from the anime; Prince of Tennis. To be honest, I’m not sure when we’re going to do it, I’ll see how this goes on. Roy and I planned to do it with our friends. To be honest, I’m not a huge fan anymore but I still love the serie. The characters are cool so I think this will be fun to do.

Tips for the cosplays are always welcome. Besides that, have you ever cosplayed before? If not, are you planning to do one in the future?

Busy & lazy weekend~

Roy came to me on Wednesday after my intern. He stayed over that night because I still had school on Thursday (He had a few days off, yay!). Roy even helped me out with my guinea pigs. It was time to cut their hair, clipping their nails and for brownie; a bath! I’m afraid to cut the nails of a guinea pig but Roy helped me out.
Some of you might know it already, his birthday was on Thursday and he’s now 25. :D I already gave his presents not so long ago. He didn’t really celebrate it, but after school I saw him in Emmen and we went to see his sister and stayed over that night.

We went to see the first short play from Roy’s little nephew on Friday morning. They played Cinderella. It was really cute to see. I really enjoyed it. :) Later in the afternoon we went to Roy’s place. Because of the weather we were mostly outside in the sun or walking around in Utrecht. Really, we didn’t do much for the rest but I still enjoyed my weekend xD

Yesterday there were new trainees at my intern and they asked a lot about the projects we were doing. They are friendly and they are open to learn new things. Besides, I mostly dealt with logos and I cannot see them anymore. @_@

Tell me guys, how was your weekend? :)
